Many would argue with the premise that ITIL is IT Service Management common sense - documented.
If you've lived what ITIL recommends, before even knowing that it was ITIL, as those of us fortunate enough to work at Tandem Computers (now HP's NonStop Integrity range) did, then I maintain it is common sense.
Of course, common sense, is one of those anomalies, since it's not exactly common.
